Several years after the Civil War, a stagecoach races through the snowy hills of Wyoming. It carries John Ruth (Kurt Russell), a bounty hunter also known as "The Hangman", and Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh). His awaits a bounty written on her head, her a trial and a noose. Along the way, they meet two men - Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a former soldier who has also become a feared bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a Southern renegade who claims to be the new sheriff in the town where they're all headed. When a severe windstorm prevents them from continuing their journey, they decide to seek refuge in Minnie's log cabin, a popular stagecoach stop. However, they are greeted at the door not by the owner but by several strangers who certainly don't look friendly. A snowstorm is raging over the mountain pass, and the eight travellers begin to suspect they may not make it to town...
