Mary is just amazing! Anyone who doesn't love her already will soon fall for it. Love for the pretty, smart, sweet and rich Mary is inevitable. Ted dreamed of her in high school, and even though his braces didn't exactly add to his beauty, Mary chose him as her date to the prom. But Ted has monstrous braces and monstrous bad luck. After a series of embarrassing mishaps at Mary's house on the eve of the big event, Ted decides he'd rather never see his beloved again. But thirteen years have passed and his heart is still wounded by unfulfilled love. On the advice of his friend, Ted hires private investigator Healy to track Mary down. The obnoxious Healy falls in love with the ever-beautiful Mary and lies a lot of nonsense to Ted about his fragile childhood love. Ted is undeterred, however, and decides to help the supposedly fat, divorced Mary with her four children...
