Where do heroes come from? Lieutenant Harry Brubaker is a lawyer in civilian life, but in November 1952, he is one of the best pilots in the U.S. Army. When he fails to land on an aircraft carrier due to technical difficulties, he can rely on his comrades, especially on the experienced helicopter pilot Mike Forney, who finds him in the sea and rescues him. In turn, Brubaker helps Mike get out of prison, where he ended up after a fight when his beautiful Japanese fiancée, Kimiko, left him.
