The small California town of Antonio Bay is celebrating its centennial. Suddenly, the reincarnated ghosts of six sailors who were robbed and killed a hundred years ago appear, and with them comes the sinister, deadly MLHA - the avenger of ancient crimes... MLHA is one of John Carpenter's classic auteur films, in which he manages to combine good filmmaking craft with his knowledge of classic horror techniques. The filmmaker has also mixed in some black humour, which highlights the basic thesis of any proper horror film, according to which evil never has an end in its manifestations.
