This witty and audience-favorite parody by Mel Brooks is aimed at both horror lovers and those who dislike the genre. The hero of the story is the promising scientist Frederick, grandson of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, who enjoys revealing various “secrets” of the human body to his students during lectures. When he receives Victor Frankenstein’s will, he travels from America to the old family estate to claim his inheritance. Included in it are the eccentric servant Igor and the mysterious housekeeper Frau Blücher. In the castle cellar, Frederick discovers his infamous grandfather’s laboratory along with the formula for bringing a human being back to life. Unsurprisingly, this particular “legacy” soon consumes his attention. However, his scientific experiment quickly spirals out of control, and the revived man begins to threaten the peaceful townspeople…
