- Description
Jack "Lucky" Aubrey (Russell Crowe) is a gallant commander in the Royal Navy. His frigate is suddenly attacked by a superior enemy force.
Although the vessel is severely damaged during the skirmish and many of the crew are wounded, Commander Jack Aubrey decides to engage in a murderous pursuit across two oceans in an attempt to capture the enemy ship at any cost. The stakes are extremely high. If the Commodore succeeds in defeating the enemy ship, he will gain fame and notoriety; if not, he will plunge himself and his crew into oblivion.
Master and Commander at the Edge of the World is a spectacular adventure film of unprecedented epic proportions. It is a tale of courage, honour and hard naval life set during the Napoleonic Wars. At the helm is three-time Oscar-nominated director Peter Weir and a stellar cast led by Best Actor Oscar winner Russell Crowe.
