New love. A new home. Peter Appleton is enjoying life as never before... someone else's life. Directed by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile), Majestic is both a cinematic valentine and the story of a man on a journey of self-discovery. Hollywood screenwriter Peter, played by Jim Carrey, finds himself in the small town of Lawson, California after an accident without remembering anything. The locals mistake him for a long-missing war hero... and Peter accepts his new identity. He sets about fixing up the local movie theater and begins courting the girl (Laurie Holden) he supposedly abandoned during the war. He leads a perfect life in a perfect lie. But one day the truth must come out...
