Popular TV journalist Karen White (Dee Wallace) has an unusual admirer – Eddie Quist, a serial killer and violent predator. She decides to take part in a game to help capture him, but after his arrest and death she begins to suffer from disturbing nightmares. On the recommendation of her psychologist, she undergoes rehabilitation, only to gradually discover that she has fallen victim to the same addiction that once consumed Eddie.
