Grace (Samara Weaving) marries Alex Le Domas (Mark O’Brien), a handsome and successful young man from a wealthy family that made its fortune by inventing and selling board games. Many a girl strives in vain for such love and its fulfillment in marriage—or at least secretly dreams of it. Moreover, through this marriage, Grace finally gains a family, as a cruel twist of fate had made her an orphan some time ago. The Le Domas family may not seem entirely ordinary, and not everyone is thrilled about this marriage, but Grace is happy and in love, so she doesn’t pay it much mind. After the wedding ceremony, Grace learns that she is now almost officially part of the Le Domas family. And for her acceptance to be complete, she must play one of their traditional family games with them after midnight, a game she will choose herself. And her choice falls on a game of hide-and-seek. The rules are simple: the bride must hide so that no one from her new family finds her before dawn. How simple. But Grace has no idea that while she’s searching for a suitable hiding spot in the vast Le Domas mansion, her future relatives and their servants are pulling out various firearms, stabbing, and cutting weapons.
