Joe Kidd is a former bounty hunter and tough guy from the American Southwest. It is here that a group of Mexicans are denied the right to their land and all records of their property are destroyed. Led by Louis Chama, a charismatic Mexican leader, they take up arms to demand their rights and demand land reform.
Wealthy landowner Frank Harlan is also interested in the land and wants to settle things his way. He hires a group of hit men to wipe out the Mexicans and wants Joe Kidd to help him track down Chama. Joe Kidd wants nothing to do with the whole thing at first, but when Chama steals his horse and threatens his friends, his patience runs out...
