Few mountain ranges in the Czech Republic have been as influenced by human activity as the Jizera Mountains. Although today they are one of the most sought-after destinations for tourists, they also hide many secrets that the filmmakers set out to uncover. They filmed with the latest technologies on both the Czech and Polish sides of the mountains. The film tells the story of the Jizera Mountains from their creation to the present day. The filmmakers mapped both the living and non-living nature, places connected by a dense network of tourist trails, but especially those that no roads lead to. They also captured unique footage from underground. To ensure that nothing important was left out of the film, Viktor Kuna consulted with more than a dozen people from various fields.
