British secret agent James Bond saves the charming Italian countess Teresa di Vicenzo, known as Tracy (Diana Rigg), from taking her own life. She is the daughter of powerful mafia boss Draco (Gabrielle Ferzetti), who sees in Bond a man capable of awakening love in his daughter and helping her overcome her emotional instability. In exchange for Bond’s attention to Tracy, Draco offers Agent 007 valuable information about his greatest enemy – Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Telly Savalas). Blofeld is attempting to illegitimately claim a noble title through the British College of Arms. Bond eventually tracks him down at his private allergy-treatment clinic, located atop one of the Alpine peaks and heavily guarded by armed men. There, Blofeld is devising a sophisticated plan to blackmail the governments of the world using a new virus he intends to release across the globe.
