- Description
Gaylord Jebal (Ben Stiller), a nurse, decides to propose to his girlfriend Pamela (Teri Polo) during the weekend they are to spend together at her parents' house. However, there's a catch... first he has to ask her father's permission, and Greg soon finds out that it won't be easy. Pamela's father (Robert DeNiro) a former CIA agent, his beloved pussycat and the rest of the family feel a strong antipathy towards him from the start.
What distracts from Greg's serious request is Murphy's Law, which takes over any serious situation immediately. A series of embarrassments turn him into a master of disaster and a total screw-up in the eyes of the whole family... except Pam, who still can't believe the loser she's fallen for...
