- Description
The year is 1943 and the Germans are on a victorious campaign through Europe. They are already in Greece and all its islands, except Crete and the islet of Chrenos near the Turkish border. An island where two thousand tired, exhausted British soldiers have found temporary asylum. They should be evacuated before Turkey enters the war. But the only escape route by sea is sealed by two giant radar-guided German guns on Navarone. They cannot be destroyed from the water or the air. There is only one option: to try to destroy them directly. With only a few days to go before the rescue convoy sets sail, a group of six saboteurs head in a small fishing boat to the island, which is accessible only by a dangerous climb. It's up to them to decide whether the 2,000 men die or live next Wednesday...
