A treasure hunter, known as the Asian Hawk (Jackie Chan), is on the trail of artifacts that were looted from the Old Summer Palace in the 19th century. His search for twelve bronze heads symbolizing the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac takes him to various parts of the world, from the vineyards of France to the slopes of an active volcano. The hawk will stop at nothing to accomplish his mission.
