The dark and suspenseful horror Black Phone 2 continues a story that will leave you breathless. Thirteen-year-old Finn (Mason Thames) was the only one to survive the serial kidnapper and killer known as The Grabber (Ethan Hawke), and he even managed to kill him on the run – with crucial help from the disconnected black phone, through which he communicated with the Grabber’s victims.
After surviving such a horror, returning to normal life is nearly impossible, especially for Finn’s sensitive younger sister Gwen (Madeleine McGraw). She is haunted by dreams of a ringing black phone and three boys who disappeared years ago during a winter camp at Alpine Lake Reservation. To separate dreams from reality, Gwen sets out with Finn to investigate the tragic past of the camp, where a massive snowstorm cuts them off from civilization.
But that will be their least problem. At the camp, Gwen is tormented by nightmares far worse than those she experienced at home – and The Grabber appears, the man Finn dispatched years ago. But when this monster claims that “dead” is just a word, you have to take him deadly seriously.
