A film classic, Bare Foot in the Park is an adaptation of the famous play by the "master of comedy" Neil Simon. Robert Redford as a conservative lawyer and Jane Fonda as his impulsive newlywed wife with a vision of a romantic life. The honeymoon ends, the enchantment slowly fades and in its place the reality of living on the fifth floor without an elevator pushes in - comic disagreements slowly enter the previously harmonious marriage. A disgruntled mother-in-law, a flirtatious neighbour - joy becomes misery. It is almost beyond doubt that by the time the film comes to a close, the couple will have separated. And it's just as clear that the mother-in-law and the neighbour will get back together. Fonda and Redford make a great comedy duo here...
