It is 1944, the Allied invasion is imminent and the Germans desperately need to find out where the suspected landing will take place. After their spy is compromised, the Abwehr sends its next agent, "Cobra," to England. His mission is to find out what troops and in what strength are ready on the Dover coast. But there, a Home Guard unit is moved from Walmington on Sea to guard the coast. The men, under the leadership of the dashing Captain Mainwaring (Toby Jones), may not be the youngest and may have fought a previous war (sometimes two), but they intend to defend their homeland with the determination of 20-year-old boys.
