Ace Ventura has retreated to a Buddhist monastery, where he fully devoted himself to meditation, but he won’t remain without work for long. A persistent stranger appears, offering him a job, and together with the monastery’s abbot—who would gladly get rid of the eccentric detective—they persuade him to accept the offer. His task is to find a stolen sacred animal of the Wachati tribe in the province of Bonai: a white bat named Shikaka, which was meant to be given to the chief’s daughter as a wedding gift. If the animal isn’t found, the warlike Wachootoo tribe, from which the groom comes, is ready to massacre the bride’s people. Ace first causes a series of scandals at Consul Cadby’s residence, shocking the local white elite, and then, fascinated by Africa, sets off to the village to begin his investigation. There, he meets the beautiful daughter of the chief, who has a very unusual request for him. Though he cannot resist her, he doesn’t forget his mission. Soon he picks up the trail of Quinn, a ruthless hunter of endangered species, whose raven feather he finds in the cave from which the bat was stolen. Using clever methods, he follows him and, through a series of unexpected dangers, gradually uncovers the true culprit and his evil intentions...
