Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage) used to be the best car thief in the states. Now he's been chopping goodies for a while, but underneath the skin of a likable decent guy still lurks a predator ready to strike at any moment. This comes in handy when Randall's younger brother gets into a nasty tangle with a vicious gangster and his carelessness robs him of dozens of stolen luxury cars ready for sale.
If his brother is not to die, Randall must return to his craft and steal fifty expensive and properly secured cars for the gangster in three days. With an old group of friends led by Sara (Angelina Jolie), Randall could certainly do it, if it weren't for the nosy cops nipping at his heels. It's time to buckle up and hit the gas...
