- Description
Thanks to cloning technology, the world of the near future has become a paradise on Earth. Deadly diseases have ceased to exist, your new dog can be designed to colour-coordinate with the sofa in your living room on which your ideal virtual girlfriend, a hologram of your exact dreams and fantasies, stretches invitingly.
To prevent scientific advances from turning against humanity, as they have so many times in history, the rules of cloning are governed by a strict Sixth Day Law, named after the Old Testament. It was on the sixth day from the beginning of the world that God created man... Former combat helicopter pilot Adam Gibson (Arnold Schwarzenegger) returns home one evening to find that a perfect double, identical in every detail to the original, has taken his place in the midst of his beloved family.
Before the war veteran can recover from a direct confrontation with his clone, whose existence is theoretically precluded by the Sixth Day Law, he must face a murderous attack by inhumanly perfect assassins. Who and why might be interested in the death of an insignificant pilot? Only one thing is clear at this point, and Adam Gibson won't sell his skin as an experienced war pilot cheap...
