Description:

Arctic marine animal caretaker Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) has his future carefully planned out. When he’s not caring for sea creatures at Hawaii’s Sea Life Park, he’s breaking the hearts of tourist women and pursuing short-term romances. A long-term relationship is out of the question – it would ruin his lifelong dream of an expedition to Alaska to study the underwater life of walruses. Just as that dream starts to come true, an unexpected accident during a test run of his schooner changes everything. Fate leads him to the local Hukilau Café, where he encounters not only the suspicious stares of regulars but also a young and beautiful woman – Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore) – whose charm instantly captivates him. Henry can’t forget Lucy or the way she methodically dissected her waffles to build a perfect model of a wigwam. The next day, he returns to the café. Lucy is there again, this time building a decorative log cabin out of waffles. When she struggles to attach the door, Henry sees his chance – grabs a toothpick, and elegantly fixes it. They strike up a conversation about waffles and marine mammals, and Henry finds himself increasingly drawn to Lucy. He breaks his own rule about dating local girls and arranges to see her again. But when he shows up the next day and refers to their earlier meeting, Lucy thinks he’s insane and calls for help – she has no idea who he is. And Henry slowly realizes that if he wants to win her heart, he’ll have to fight for it every single day – for the rest of his life...
