The drama The Theory of Everything tells the extraordinary and incredible life story of Stephen Hawking, who wears on his very sick body one of the smartest heads ever known to mankind. Although he could playfully explain the incomprehensible laws of the universe, he himself may not understand how it is possible that his own life was saved by such an extraordinary thing as love.
The story begins in 1963, when twenty-one-year-old Stephen Hawking, a cosmology student at Cambridge, is poised for a brilliant future. His classmates and professors absolutely adore him, as does the beautiful Jane, who is studying art at the same school. He, in turn, adores her. However, when he reaches his imaginary peak in his personal and professional life, he experiences a ruthless fall. Literally.
A medical examination after one of his many "clumsy" stumbles yields a harsh diagnosis - an incurable progressive paralysis of the nervous system that will end in death within two years. But Jane and Stephen defy fate. They marry and try to live a normal life. He refuses to accept the disease and finishes his doctorate. She supports him in every way she can, often to the point of self-sacrifice. The closer they get to the supposed end, the more hectically they both try to live together...
