I have a feeling we left something important at home, Mrs McCallister tells her husband on the plane across the Atlantic to Paris. Little do they know that what they left at home is the youngest member of their large family, Kevin. So begins the most successful film of 1990, a Christmas comedy about a forgotten son and two inept burglars.
Kevin doesn't panic at all, quite the opposite. He can finally do all the things he can't do otherwise. Rollerblading on the carpet, eating ice cream, watching inaccessible movies. But his happiness doesn't last long. Two burglars show up and set their sights on the McCallister house.
This time, however, Kevin doesn't lose his cool and gives the burglars a good workout. He turns the house into a deadly trap. But for all his freedom and fun with the robbers, he's beginning to miss them...
