This time, all the road rage will take place in the hot streets of Rio, Brazil. This is where notoriously good-hearted criminal Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), the ex-cop who helped him escape from prison last time, have escaped justice. But not by accident.
A plan has brought them to the city beneath a giant statue of Jesus, and at the end of it all, a ticket to freedom awaits them. Trouble is, the plan, with a face value of $100 million waiting for them in a police station safe, is completely insane. Brian and Dom call in former partners to Rio to increase their chances of success, only it's not just a corrupt narco-baron and his struggling crew that stand against them, but also a tough federal agent named Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).
Hobbs is the kind of guy who takes his job deadly seriously, and when he's given a task, he always gets it done. And that's a deadly combination for both heroes. Good thing they have cars and the ability to get the best out of them every time...
