A very strong bond has formed between reclusive primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson) and the exceptionally intelligent male gorilla George, whom Davis has cared for since birth. But a dangerous genetic experiment gone wrong turns the gentle ape into a huge raging monster. And if that weren't enough, it soon becomes clear that other animals are similarly mutated.
