Former Green Beret elite unit member John Rambo is serving his sentence in federal prison. When the U.S. Army discovers that soldiers lost in action in the jungles of Vietnam may still be alive, it calls on Rambo to rescue them. He is offered his freedom for completing an unusually dangerous mission. In the process, however, Rambo discovers that government officers have sent him to his death...
