The Bible says that God created us. A supernatural power that decides our destiny and directs our actions. But the cradle of life and the Garden of Eden may not be in our corner of the universe. And perhaps we were not created by one God, but by the gods, the engineers of life. Beneath the surface of the Earth, archaeologists have found clues that suggest this, while pointing the way to these creators and thus to the key to our origins that lies in the dark, unexplored bowels of a complex light years away.

Following these footprints imprinted on our planet, a team of scientists and researchers embark on a journey to uncover the origins of life on Earth, as well as to fund the corporation that sent them.

With this film, legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the waters of the science-fiction genre he helped define more than thirty years ago, while also illuminating the events that preceded the now-legendary classic, Alien.
