Hundreds of kilometres of corridors wind underground, where the city's history is written.
While studying old maps, she comes across records of a mysterious underground room, which she decides to find and explore. He eventually takes his enthusiasm and determination to a group of cavers and adventurers. She persuades them to accompany her to "lower" Paris. Right at the beginning of their journey they pass a sign warning them that they are entering the realm of the dead, but unfortunately they don't take it seriously yet. A few hours later, however, they all learn the hard way that death is not to be trifled with, as such a game can cost you your life.
As they journey through Paris' bloody history, their own tragic experiences and traumas begin to haunt them, and they are all too real in these grim places. They can't go back, the road is blocked, and if they want to keep any theoretical hope of survival, they must proceed through a labyrinth of corridors and tunnels lower and lower, to places where scenes far more terrifying than those left behind await them.
