The main character is the hobbit Frodo Baggins, who in his own homeland called Middle-earth has found himself at the very centre of a battle of mythical proportions. During his journey, he will have to prove that the power of friendship and individual courage can successfully face even the most destructive forces of darkness. Frodo's adventures are set in motion by a gift from his kinsman Bilbo. From him he receives a magical ring that pits Frodo against the forces of evil represented by the cruel ruler Sauron. He desires to obtain the ring at any cost, because it is the source of unlimited power for him; only with its help can he succeed in enslaving the people of Middle-earth and becoming their unlimited master.
In an attempt to counter Sauron's dark plans, Frodo must ally himself with several other beings. With them, he forms a so-called Fellowship made up of his friends, a wizard, an elf, a dwarf and other helpers, with whom he embarks on a journey at the end of which they hope to destroy the ring once and for all. But their journey will prove that not only magical rings, but also the togetherness of all living beings can accomplish unsuspected things. But they must face not only the dangers that await them in the territories controlled by Sauron, but also the corrupting power of the ring itself...
