The Pearl is the tallest and most secure building in the world. Yet, its owners hire security expert Will Sawyer (Dwayne Johnson) to make it official. But then the building catches fire, and it's definitely not a technical malfunction. Will, as the former head of an FBI team that specialized in hostage rescue, has been through a lot, but this is strong coffee. The fire spreads quickly and Will discovers that the police believe he is responsible for starting it. Even though he's just outside the building, he'll have to get inside quickly because his wife (Neve Campbell) and their two children are trapped on one of the top floors. And that's still not all, there's an armed gang on the loose in the Skyscraper that Will will also have to deal with if he wants to save his loved ones. We also forgot to mention that he has one artificial leg from a serious past injury and that the only way into the house in flames is via a nearby crane, whose arm he'll have to jump from several dozen metres up...
