A group of filmmakers travel to the Pacific in search of the legendary Skull Island, where legend has it that a gigantic monster named Kong once lived. The expedition, which includes eccentric director Carl Denham, the beautiful Ann Darrow and screenwriter Jack Driscoll, actually finds the mysterious island and lands on it. Unfortunately, the monster they wanted to make a feature documentary about is still alive, along with a number of other prehistoric animals that begin to seriously threaten their lives. Ann is in the greatest danger as she is kidnapped by the local natives and sacrificed to King Kong as part of a traditional ritual. However, the latter's behaviour in the face of the fragile blonde is completely unexpected.
