The Hawk Woman is a fantasy full of adventure and romance, a film that never ages... Philip Gaston (Matthew Broderick) is a small-time thief who has managed to escape from the almost impossible-to-escape prison of Aquila. The soldiers immediately launch a manhunt, determined to catch him at any cost. They would almost celebrate their success if not for the mysterious Knight Navarro (Rutger Hauer), who rescues Philip and takes him in. Navarre has been on the run for two years from the soldiers of the Bishop of Aquila.
Ever since he escaped with his beloved Lady Isabeau (whom the Bishop also desired), the two lovers have been afflicted by a curse placed on them by the Bishop himself... A curse that involves Navarre turning into a wolf by night, while Isabeau (Michelle Pfeiffer) turns into a hawk by day. Both are doomed never to see each other in human form again. Navarre asks Philip to help him get to Aquila and close to the Bishop himself, which doesn't sit well with Philip, but he has no choice - he owes Navarre something... Will the heroes manage to get to the closely guarded Bishop and break the curse by killing him?
