Scientist Bruce Banner has just broken up with colleague Betty Ross, but they have managed to remain friends. Together, they're working on a formula that uses gamma rays to allow human tissue to autocorrect. Bruce grew up in an orphanage, his mother died and his father David was imprisoned.
Now David is back in the life of the son he never knew he had. One day, Bruce is paralyzed by a lab accident that exposes him to powerful radiation resulting in a very strange phenomenon - making him stronger and more powerful.
An encounter with David awakens old memories in his son and releases anger and old tensions. The gamma radiation turns him into a huge green muscular monster - the Hulk - a product of pure rage...
