The kingdoms of Azeroth and Draneor could not be more different. Azeroth is a thriving realm of humans, wisely ruled by King Llane (Dominic Cooper). His army, led by the knight Lothar (Travis Fimmel), and a community of powerful wizards led by the mage Medivh (Ben Foster) consistently protect the peaceful civilization.
In Draenor, life is a permanent struggle between the rival races of Orcs, who are united only by an unbeatable enemy, a plague that is gradually destroying all life in their land. Their leader, Gul'dan, creates a portal through which the Orcs can enter another world and colonize it with the help of dark magic.
Coincidentally, Azeroth becomes their target, and its inhabitants are willing to defend their country to the last man, and there is nothing else left for them to do. It seems that the destructive clash of civilizations cannot be stopped, yet those who seek an alternative solution exist...
