The teenage years can be very complicated, and Riley, who is torn from her old life in the American Midwest after her father has to move to San Francisco for a new job, is no exception.
Like all of us, Riley is ruled by her emotions - Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). Emotions live in the Control Center, the central hub inside Riley's mind, where they help her deal with the trappings of everyday life.
As Riley and her emotions work together to cope with the challenges of new beginnings in San Francisco, chaos erupts in the Control Center.
