Former college wrestler Scott Voss (Kevin James) is 42 years old and uninterestedly teaches biology at a failing high school. When budget cuts threaten to eliminate some of the school's programs and the music teacher (Henry Winkler) is laid off, Scott decides to make some extra money for the school as a martial arts wrestler. Everyone thinks Scott is crazy - especially school nurse Bella (Salma Hayek) - but Scott manages something no one expected. He inspires his students and becomes a sensation, bringing the whole school together...
